Drama 1-16-09

What a day I had yesterday. It started out with the 2 kids down the street coming over for a ride to school, and they tell me how Alex ding dong ditched their house the day before and that he shot his air soft gun at their window. Alex knows he is not allowed to go down the street without asking me and I saw him outside on that day and he straight out lied to me and said he did not go down the street ( I can't stand kids who lie). So I send him to his room I don't even yell or spank i just tell him how dissapointed I am with him and that I always brag about how great he is and he goes and lies to me and shoots an air soft gun at the neighbors window (It was an accident though he meant to hit the door). So I am crying and all stressed out because our neighbor was very upset and i am not used to being embarrassed by my kids. Needless to say the air soft guns have been taken away and Alex's little bit of freedom he did have is now taken away. So I decide to go shopping to feel better. I didn't feel like talking to anyone so I turned the ringer on my phone off when I get home from shopping my stepdad comes over and says the school called him since they couldn't get ahold of me and Alex has a temperature and is not feeling good, so I ask him if he can pick Alex up because Jacob is asleep. Alex comes home and I realize he is sick because he was so stressed out that he upset me. He takes a nap on the couch and at 3:25 I get in the car to pick up the girls I pull out of the driveway and notice I have a flat tire. I call my sister to get the girls. She can't find them at school, so she drives over to my house and on the way she sees them walking with the neighbors. Ashley said she was scared because she didn't know where i would pick them up at so they decided to walk home. Anyways the afternoon goes o.k and then in the evening Ashley tells me that a parent at school told her she was rude because her daughter was not invited to a birthday that Ashley said she was having. First off Ashley was not even having a birthday party. I was thinking about having 2 of her cousins and a friend from school come spend the night but nothing was even planned yet. So I get upset again and am not able to sleep because of this. I called the parent this morning and cleared up the drama but I am not used to having girls and having their friends going home crying and the parents getting so involved over first grade drama. My kids all know there are parties that they won't be invited to and that it is o.k. because you can't invite the whole school to a birthday party. It was just another crazy day that I felt like I neede to write about to get it off my chest.
I feel much better getting that off my chest maybe I can get some sleep now.
